Fellowship and Adventure Program
(August 22-28, 2011, Porumbacu, Romania)
Since we know that you will be coming a long way to attend the Spiritual Meetings in Sibiu (August, 18-21, 2011), and (most of you also) the Dedication of the Youth and Family Retreat Center in the mountains in Porumbacu, together with a large baptism (August 22, 2011), we believe that you want to make the most of your trip to Romania.
Therefore, we have prepared an Adventure Program for those of you who would like to spend more days in Christian fellowship in the midst of nature, resting, taking short walks, or taking daily hiking tours in the surrounding mountains.
We call it an "adventure" because everything might be totally different from your usual lifestyle, which will make it a unique, unforgettable experience for most of you.
• Cost: 25 US Dollars/day (accommodation, transportation, guide and meals included).
Each participant can choose the number of days he or she wants to stay, and programs he or she wants to take part in.
Those interested in participating in this program should keep in mind the dates when booking their trip back home!!!

• Accommodation will be in a chalet. There is a room for ladies (approximately 20 beds available) and another room for men (approximately 20 mattresses available), and two additional smaller rooms, which will also be used for common accommodation, either for men or for women, depending on the number of attendants. Additional lodging can be offered outside in tents, close to the river.
• There are no toilets inside, and also no running water (except for the mountain river which flows around the chalet). There are four toilets available outside.
• There will be no electrical power available there.
• We will cook for the group in a kitchen, and can also cook outside at an open fire. You are welcome to help with the cooking. Traditional Romanian meals will be also served. We will be glad to try your recipes as well.
• The best cold, clean, and refreshing well water is available for drinking and cooking.
• In the evenings, campfires can be organized.
• Our church camp is within 10 minutes walking distance, i.e., we could also attend the morning and evening worship services there, as well as the program of the Sabbath, August 27, 2011, together with the delegates. |
During the day all participants can partake in the various hiking tours offered, adapted to the age and physical condition of each person.
